  • Taught a Grade 7 History Unit on the the Settlement of North America, creating an inquiry-based critical thinking project where students evaluated the quality of life using criteria they constructed

  • Created a Literacy Unit on the topic of Intolerance, using three historic examples of intolerance in society. Students kept a response journal and created persuasive writing pieces to respond to articles and videos while participating in debate activities to challenge concepts of Intolerance

  • Implemented a Grade 7 Physical Education unit that also address Grade 7 Arts Dance and Movement, allowing students to work in small groups to recreate a dance routine

  • Constructed the Grade 5 Social Studies unit on Government, emphasizing critical discussion activities on Social Justice and Environmental Issues

  • Assessed the Social Studies unit through a collection of student produced responses and a capstone Student Debate activity
